With 5.5 inches of snow in Ohio on Christmas Day, 2020 is going out on a high note for about 500 jewelry buyers in Canfield, Ohio. The White Christmas triggers a “Snowfall Promotion” by Komara Jewelers clients who will now receive past-purchases for free.
Snow Ho Ho!
Between 12:01 am and 11:59 pm on December 25th there was record snowfall. By 10:00 pm the National Weather Service and Storm Tracker Team at 21 WFMJ local news stated that the Mahoning Valley had received over four inches of snow. The final total measured at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna, which was promotion-official, was 5.5 inches: As a result, 498 clients will receive money-back for purchases made between November 30th and December 17th, ranging from $10 to $30,000.
Christmas Miracle?
The mother of owner Bob Komara, matriarch of the family, passed away just one week ago. Bob likes to believe the historic Christmas snowfall, paying off for the first time after many years running the promotion, was aided by the intervention of her spirit:
It’s a nice twist. We like to give back to the community. This is what makes this so fulfilling for us.
This is the first year the family is refunding purchases since the promotion began 12 years ago. The family has already agreed to have it again next year.
