See TAG Heuer’s Lab Grown “Diamond Anniversary” Timepiece

Last year TAG Heuer introduced a forward-thinking Carrera Plasma timepiece, adorning the traditional design with modern pink lab-grown diamonds. This year, in celebration of the Carrera’s 60th anniversary – also known as the diamond anniversary – TAG Heuer created a new version of the timepiece featuring 15.5 carats of colorless lab grown diamonds. This new addition to their Diamant d’Avant-Garde series features a 40% increase in lab grown diamonds, with step-cut gemstones strategically positioned to give the illusion that they are sprouting from the case and bracelet.

According to TAG Heuer, “The 44mm case of the new TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma is made of sandblasted anodized aluminium, the perfect backdrop for its uniquely shaped Diamant d’Avant-Garde elements. The light elegance of the aluminium is perfectly balanced with the bright purity of the diamond, creating a showstopping combination of complementary materials. The diamond embellished indexes and polycrystalline diamond dial are stunning standout features, and the upgraded bracelet is a bold continuation of the diamond-set case, creating a dazzling, cohesive look that extends around the wrist.”

The watch’s appealing exterior is complemented by the Swiss watchmaker’s celebrated engineering. Housing the TAG Heuer Nanograph movement, the caliber incorporates a carbon hairspring crafted in-house by the TAG Heuer Institute. That hairspring not only enhances the timepiece’s visual appeal but also ensures outstanding levels of anti-magnetism, shock resistance, and stability across varying temperatures. Both internally and externally, the watch showcases materials which are equally functional and luxurious. The lab grown diamonds used are produced by Lusix, Capsoul and Diamaze.
