IGI and Luxus Become Valuation and Content Partners

IGI has partnered with Luxus, a new platform permitting people to invest in a “best in class” selection of precious gems, high jewelry and rare watches. The institute will serve as Luxus’ independent valuation partner, setting the value of pieces listed on the platform.

Partners in Authentication

Through the partnership, IGI will produce appraisal reports for assets listed by Luxus. The institute’s experts will work directly with Lusux to provide proof of authenticity, grading attributes and a retail replacement value for each article on the platform. Dana Auslander, founder and CEO of Lusux commented on the new relationship.

IGI provides the first-rate expertise necessary to put the highest caliber diamonds, other precious gems and jewelry, in the hands of investors on the Luxus platform. On top of opening the door for investors to partake in ownership of the world’s rarest assets, we’re working directly with an industry leader in jewelry grading to ensure our assets are best-in-class and the IPO valuation is at the best possible price.

Partners in Education

IGI also becomes Luxus’ first content partner. The institute will give the platform access to its library of training materials on diamond, gem and jewelry analysis and grading in the form of webinars, eLearning courses, and in-person classes for incorporation into its web-based applications. The IGI library can potentially be used to educate investors on how precious gems can be used as inflation-hedging securities and for portfolio diversification. According to Avi Levy, IGI’s North American President:

This partnership with Luxus allows us to leverage our diversified audiences and grow their understanding of the value of diamonds and gemstones. We are excited about what our partnership means for the future of the industry as new investors and jewelry enthusiasts are introduced to this new asset class.
