The International Gemological Institute (IGI) announces the fifth edition of its global jewelry design contest, IGI Expressions™, themed “Unveiling the Depths of the Ocean.” This year’s competition invites designers worldwide to draw inspiration from the ocean’s mystery and beauty, translating their imagination into extraordinary jewelry creations. With participation from 54 countries and more than 1,200 submissions in the last edition, IGI Expressions™ continues to celebrate creativity and diversity, serving as a truly global platform for both emerging and established talent.
Running from December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, the contest accepts entries across three design segments—Sketch, CAD, and iPad—under three categories: Statement Piece, Convertible Jewelry, and Brooch. These segments offer designers a broad canvas to express their artistry and interpretation of the theme.
Distinct for its accessibility, IGI Expressions™ remains free to enter, removing barriers for passionate creators. Nine winners will each receive a USD 500 cash prize, a trophy, and a certificate of achievement. A distinguished global jury of industry leaders will evaluate submissions, while all finalists gain extensive visibility through IGI’s digital and industry platforms.
