NYC Jewelry Week serves as a hybrid hub, delivering jewelry culture directly to the audience through content, events, strategic initiatives, and an annual jewelry week. In alignment with its mission — making jewelry accessible to all — this year’s NYC Jewelry Week spanned from November 13 to November 19, 2023.

Tuesday, November 14: Educational Panel at the Museum of Arts and Design
IGI participated in the informative panel discussion titled “How To Shop For Lab-Grown Diamond Jewelry” at the Museum of Arts and Design. Moderated by sustainable jewelry consultant and author Kyle Roderick, the panel featured Avi Levy, Director of North American Operations at IGI, Akshie Jhaveri, Founder and Creative Director of Grown Brilliance jewelry, and Kat Weymouth, Director of Sustainability Rated Diamonds at SCS Global Services. The experts shared valuable insights on lab-grown diamonds, empowering consumers, retailers, and industry professionals in their choices.
Wednesday, November 15: Exclusive Event at IGI’s New York Offices
IGI hosted an event in its NY offices open to trade professionals, media and the general public. Attendees had the opportunity to preview MK Luxury Group’s latest jewelry collections, “Coveted” featuring natural diamonds and “Chemistry” showcasing lab-grown diamonds. The event included live demonstrations by IGI gemologists and appraisers, offering exclusive access to natural and lab grown diamond and gemstone identification, as well as insights into the jewelry appraisal process. Attendees enjoyed light bites, drinks, and special giveaways, including a pair of 2-carat lab grown diamond stud earrings from MK Luxury.
Thursday, November 16: Sponsorship of Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC) “Rock the Jewels” Event
IGI was a proud sponsor of the Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC) “Rock the Jewels” event and awards presentation at the Elsie Rooftop. The evening celebrated diversity, creativity and the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, featuring a stunning exhibition of unique and exquisite jewelry pieces by Black jewelers. The event honored BIJC’s unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the jewelry industry. Congratulations to the BIJC award winners in various categories, recognizing their significant contributions and commitment to diversity in the industry.
