David Gotlib Re-Elected as Chair of Antwerp Diamond Bourse

David Gotlib, a third-generation diamantaire, has been re-elected Chairman of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, an organization that has promoted and safeguarded the interests of Antwerp’s diamond industry for the past 120 years.

Governance and Fashion

In addition to his duties with the Bourse, David has successfully managed his family business for more than 20 years, buying and selling rough and polished diamonds. That passion, combined with a love of art, inspired him to launch DAVID GOTLIB collections of designer cufflinks for those with discerning tastes. Proclaimed “A Cufflinks Connoisseur” by Forbes magazine, David remains an influential member of the fashion industry.

The Antwerp Diamond Bourse is governed by twelve board members, each elected for a four-year term. Half of the board can seek re-election every two years, ensuring a seamless transition of leadership. The Board members are committed to advancing the diamond industry, managing the Stock Exchange as an institution, and maintaining the physical building. A multi-level dispute resolution system, overseen by the Board of Directors in collaboration with the Belgian Federation of Diamond Exchanges, is in place to ensure the smooth functioning of the diamond trade. These regulations and procedures are part of a broader framework for dispute resolution under the auspices of the Belgian Federation of Diamond Exchanges.
